The Federal Theatres Organisation Act provides for an Audience Forum consisting of twelve members who are elected for a three year term of office. The Audience Forum organises at least two Audience Discussions per calendar year and per theatre company.
The topics treated in the Audience Discussions are the fulfilment of the cultural and political mandate, marketing and ticket sales as well as actual organisational processes which are of interest to the audience. The Audience Forum has no jurisdiction over issues related to the theatre companies’ artistic autonomy.
